I made Chatter because I wanted Discord decorations, themes and a nicer looking chat on my phone. You sign in with your normal Yapper account and everything else is just there.
Works on Android and iOS. Not on any app store, you download it from here.
Discord decorations, done simply
Pick a decoration and it sits right in the middle of your avatar. In chat, in the member list, in your profile. It doesn't get cropped or pushed into a corner.
- Open Studio and go to Profile.
- Pick a decoration, frame or nameplate. Or paste a style pack code and it sets all of them at once.
- Save it in a slot so you can get it back with one tap.
Other people on Chatter see your frame and name effect too.
Studio is where everything lives
All the settings are in one place, split into Profile, Chat, Voice, Look and More. Every row is a switch with a gear next to it for the details. Can't find something? There's a search bar at the top.
The five slots at the top save your whole look. Tap a slot to use it, tap an empty one to save what you have on right now.
Open it from Settings, or hold the user bar.

Save your whole look and swap between 5 of them with one tap. Every account gets its own.
10 themes
Dark, light, AMOLED, sakura and more. Or make your own.
Liquid glass
Blurry glass panels with your wallpaper showing through. Turn it off if your phone struggles.
Screen share
Share from DMs and voice channels, pause it, and record the call on your phone.
Encrypted DMs
Optional. Text only, 1:1 chats, between two people who both use Chatter.
Quiet notifications
Only mentions, DMs and friend requests. Tap one and it jumps to the message.

Save a message now, come back to it whenever.

Download Chatter
Latest build is v1.100.7. Pick your phone.
Android
Update 1.100.7- Download the APK on your phone.
- Open it. Android will ask you to allow installs from your browser, say yes.
- Open Chatter and sign in with your Yapper account.
Needs Android 8.0 or newer. Updates come from inside the app, you just confirm the install.
iPhone
Update 1.100.7- Download Chatter.ipa.
- Install it with AltStore or Sideloadly. SideStore and TrollStore work too.
- Open Chatter and sign in with your Yapper account.
It's not signed, so there's no App Store version. With a free Apple ID the install runs out after 7 days, just refresh it in AltStore or Sideloadly. No push notifications on iOS.

Slots login fix, Studio reorganised, backup fixes
- Slots now notice which account is signed in, and update within a second or two of a login, logout or switch.
- Studio > Profile starts with the 5 slot tiles, and all five tabs fit on one row.
- Backups try native save, then the share sheet, then the browser, then the clipboard. Added a Copy backup button.

Studio audit and iOS sync
- Appearance slots moved into Studio and follow the app language.
- Fixed a bug that broke the composer on older WebViews and Safari before 16.4.

Encrypted DMs
- New padlock button next to Send in 1:1 DMs. Messages are encrypted on your device before they go out.
- Modals now switch off everything behind them, which fixed the glitchy profile card.
